Husband. Father. Son. Pop. Minuteman. Veteran. Survivor. Engineer. Executive. Builder. Creator. Poet. Singer/Songwriter. Musician. Believer. Dreamer. And finally … RETIRED!
This story revolves around a flawed, imperfect man of faith navigating the “4th quarter” of life. The plan is to use my music goals to keep me busy and out of trouble as much as possible. This path has been pre-approved by my wonderful wife and supportive family – most likely to keep me out of their hair. I’ll be attempting to master the craft of songwriting – a lifelong passion of mine. My sincere hope is to share my music with the universe. I want to make a difference in peoples lives. I want to move you. Make you smile. Make you cry. Make you think.
I’d call myself a well-seasoned amateur. I don’t have CDs to sell yet. Most all the songs are done at my desk with a guitar, a vocal and GarageBand. I’ve played 2 writer’s nights so far. I’ve been to Nashville once. I’ve joined 2 songwriter’s groups. This is the ground floor. The very beginning. I’m going to document my journey here through my music, the blog and the interaction with all of you.
Won’t you tag along? It’s going to be fun! May God bless you all in your journey as well. – RWS
